The main idea of the project was to create a dominant at the ‘entrance’ to the Port Praski area. The designed building is to become the showcase of the entire investment. It is a beacon inviting you to enter Port Praski project and a characteristic element on the map of Warsaw's right bank.
The first step was to define the outline of the ground floor and shape a single-story ‘plateau’ with its outline referring to the main, clearly visible directions in the vicinity of the plot. Then, a dominant feature was created in the form of a tower rising from the plateau. The ‘Lighthouse’ was located on the edge of the plot so that it was as exposed as possible from the Wybrzeże Szczecińskie Street. The tower was turned relative to the Okrzei Street, referring to the direction of the Pomnik Kościuszkowców monument. This treatment gives it a dynamic character. The entire layout is complemented by an ‘L’-shaped building located on a plateau and its direction calmly refers to the frontage of Okrzei Street.
When designing the architecture, the focus was on contemporary forms of expression combined with traditional materials (clinker, sandstone) in modern proportions. Great attention was paid to consistently continuing the idea of dividing the structure into plateau + tower and the ‘L’ building. The division of the building into two parts - the tower and ‘L’ building, and the cut between them creates two façade fronts, opening additional views of the Vistula River, the City Center, the National Stadium, the Świętokrzyski Bridge and the Old Town. These fronts are heavily glazed, maximizing views from the interiors of the most prestigious apartments. The tower has spacious corner balconies facing the most attractive views. The balconies are protected from noise by acoustic glass panels.
Traditional facade materials (clinker tiles, sandstone) harmonize with modern architectural elements (large panes of glass, glass balustrades, metal details).
